Positioning of encoder disks are located with respect to CNC machine coordinates. AutoVision's vision software feeds accurate position to guide the CNC for extracting and milling the disks out of master substrates made of glass. Defects -- AutoVision vision systems image electrical parts at 2 micron resolution; PartProfiler vision software detects defects over glass insulation.
Vision systems can be used to compare production parts to an ideal version - a golden part. Images and characteristics of an ideal part are stored in the vision computer's memory and parts can be compared to the ideal as they are manufactured.
